My Story

Being healthy isn't something I've always been concerned about. I used to be more focused on looking a certain way. It was the summer of 7th grade when I began my hardcore diet. I had always been a dieter to be honest. Before I was 11! However, the summer of 7th grade was when it took a turn for the worse.

I dropped down to 100 lbs, which for my height was scary low. My mom started to get concerned and said I was going to be hospitalized if I didn't stop losing. That scared me! So, I began to eat again...out of fear of being put in the hospital.

However, after gaining it ALL back on + some I still had the deep emotional issues. No one had addressed why I had done what I had done. I know it wasn't solely for the vain reasons.

So, come sophmore year in high school I finally get a boyfriend. The stress of trying to be perfect for everyone got to me and the weight came off again. However, I realized something. I realized how toxic my actions were. So, I decided to end things with my boyfriend and focus on myself. Just me, 100% of the time. God, was I difficult. I began to learn not to abuse my body for not being everything I wanted, but to love it for all it did for me. So, now I'm still recovering I guess...In fact, I'm no where near recovered. However, I'm learning to love myself so hopefully one day I can get the chance to love others.

Look how tiny I was!

Current picture of me! I can't tell if there's a major change but I think I look much healthier in this picture.

Thanks for reading my story. I hope it inspires others to try to live a healthier life.
